In eight lessons you will learn everything there is to know about using a sewing machine. You will learn the basic techniques needed, so that you will enjoy working with it a lot more. If you have some experience you can practise drawing and reading patterns and creating your own designs. We will be working in small groups, and you will be coached personally by the teacher as much as possible. You will need to bring your own materials: pattern paper, scissors, pins, thread, fabrics and haberdashery. You are expected to bring your own sewing machine, but if you are not yet in possession of one please contact Platform C.

Transparency, spontaneity and clarity, essential in water colour techniques, can be mastered only through patience and a thorough command of the necessary techniques and materials. On this course beginners will discover the surprising effects of water and paint. We will practise the mixing of colours, the different ways of handling a brush, and various techniques of applying paint to paper. Advanced students will be encouraged to develop their own 'signature'. More advanced techniques, like glazing, will also be discussed. During the first lesson you will be informed about the materials you must buy. More information regarding the teacher on www.robertvankeppel.nl
