Cooking for children 6-12 years
Does your child have a hidden talent for cooking – a chef in the making?
During this 10-week after-school course Smaaksoldaatjes will help children prepare healthy dishes inspired by various cuisines. Green and seasonal products only will be used, and the children will take home what they have made, so that the family can see and taste what they have created. During the lessons the children will learn various methods of preparation; every week another topic will be dealt with. For instance, the Sushi Workshop will teach the young 'chefs' to work with precision, and in the Pizza and Quiche lessons, the ovens will be turned on. Naturally, fresh vegetables, fruit and herbs are the ingredients to be used, rather than tins and packages. The last lesson will see the opening of 'restaurant Smaaksoldaatjes', when family will be invited to come and taste all the tasty and healthy dishes the children have learnt to prepare.
