Inschrijvings- en betalingsvoorwaarden van de Stichting Volksuniversiteit Amstelland (SVA)

1. Aanmelding
   Aanmelding voor een cursus geschiedt uitsluitend door inlevering van het inschrijvingsformulier en gelijktijdige betaling/machtiging of via onze website.
2. Betaling
   Betaling van het cursusgeld dient plaats te vinden op één van de volgende wijzen:
   • Automatische en eenmalige machtiging. De afschrijving vindt in principe plaats in de eerste week van de maand waarin de cursus start.
   • Per iDEAL. (alleen bij inschrijving via onze website)
   • Pinnen, direct bij inschrijving aan de balie.
   • Contant (bij voorkeur gepast), direct bij inschrijving aan de balie
   • Factuur. Deze betalingswijze is alleen mogelijk als het cursusbedrag betaald wordt door een (eigen) bedrijf of direct door uw werkgever. In dat geval volledige adresgegevens en contactpersoon vermelden. Geen recht op 5% korting.
3. Plaatsing
   Plaatsing geschiedt in volgorde van ontvangst van het inschrijvingsformulier en de betaling of machtiging tot betaling. U krijgt een bevestiging van inschrijving (cursistenkaart). Deze kaart dient tevens als bewijs van toegang. Op verzoek van de staf, docent of receptionist dient u deze kaart te tonen.
4. Betaling in termijnen
   Betaling in termijnen is mogelijk voor cursussen met een prijs boven de € 350,- en alleen na overleg met het secretariaat.
5. Doorgang
   De Volksuniversiteit behoudt zich het recht voor een cursus af te gelasten bij onvoldoende inschrijvingen.
6. Annulering vóór aanvang van de cursus
   Inschrijvingen kunnen alleen schriftelijk of per e-mail worden geannuleerd. Daarbij geldt de volgende bepaling: Kosteloos annuleren is alleen mogelijk tot één week (7 dagen) vóór aanvang van de cursus. Daarna is annulering alleen mogelijk in geval van ernstige ziekte of verhuizing buiten de regio (schriftelijke bewijzen dienen bijgevoegd te worden). De maximale restitutie bedraagt in deze gevallen 50%.
7. Boekengeld
   Boekengeld en examengeld zijn niet bij het cursusgeld inbegrepen, tenzij anders is vermeld in de gids.
8. Aansprakelijkheid
   De SVA stelt zich niet aansprakelijk voor de schade aan personen en/of eigendommen, noch voor vermissing van persoonlijke goederen, door welke oorzaak ook tijdens de van haar uitgaande activiteiten.
9. Terugbetaling
   Als een cursus is volgeboekt of niet doorgaat wordt de eventuele machtiging vernietigd c.q. wordt het betaalde bedrag z.s.m. teruggestort. Indien de SVA in geval van overmacht een cursus tussentijds moet beëindigen, vindt restitutie alleen pro rato plaats. Restitutie vindt uitsluitend plaats door overmaking op bank-/girorekening.
10. Toegang
    
    1. De toegang tot de cursussen is vrij met dien verstande dat de docent bij vervolgcursussen – en dit op grond van een geschiktheidtoets tijdens de eerste of tweede les – een bindend advies kan geven om een andere cursus te volgen, in het geval de cursist een kennelijk onvoldoende niveau heeft om de cursus in redelijkheid te kunnen volgen.
    2. Toegang tot de les kan ontzegd worden indien een cursist herhaaldelijk de huisregels overtreedt en/of anderszins de lessen ernstig verstoort. In deze situaties vindt geen restitutie van het lesgeld plaats.
11. Cursistenaantal
    De SVA is gerechtigd om in bijzondere gevallen het maximum aantal deelnemers – zoals vermeld in de cursusgids – te verhogen met ten hoogste twee deelnemers.
12. Succesgarantie
    De SVA kan het bereiken van een bepaald (toets-/examen-)niveau van een cursist niet garanderen. Zij is echter wel gehouden aan een normale inspanningsverplichting om op correcte wijze de lessen te (laten) geven.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Conditions of enrolment and payment of the Stichting Volksuniversiteit Amstelland (SVA)

1. Registration
   Enrolment for a course is possible only by submitting the registration form together with your payment/authorization, or through our website.
2. Payment
   Payment of the fee is to take place as follows:
   • One-off payment authorization. Debiting takes place in the first week of the month in which the course starts
   • Per iDEAL. (only through enrolment on our website)
   • By paying machine at our administration desk
   • Cash (exact money preferred) at our administration desk.
3. Placing
   Registration for a course takes place in the order in which the forms and payment or payment authorization come in. A statement of registration (cursistenkaart) will be sent to you. This statement also serves as an order of admission. On request of a staff member, you have to show it.
4. Payment in instalments
   Payment in instalments is possible for courses of € 350,- or more, only by appointment via the administration desk.
5. Start
   The Volksuniversiteit is allowed to cancel a course in case of insufficient registrations.
6. Annulment
   Annulment at no expense is possible in writing or by e-mail only until one week (7 days) prior to the start of the course. Thereafter, annulment will be accepted only in case of serious illness or removal to outside the region (written proof must be submitted). The maximum refund is 50%.
7. Cost of books
   The cost of books and exam fees are not included in the course fee, unless stated otherwise.
8. Liability
   The SVA can neither be held responsible for damages to persons and/or personal belongings, nor for the loss of personal belongings due to whatever circumstances during activities organised by the SVA.
9. Refunding
   If a course should be fully booked or cancelled, the payment authorization will be destroyed, c.q. the paid fees will be refunded as soon as possible. Should the SVA be forced to cancel a course after start, due to circumstances beyond its control, refunding will take place Pro Rato only.
10. Access
    
    1. One can enroll for all courses in principle. However, the teacher is entitled to give a binding advice to switch to another course, based on observation and/or a test during the first or second lesson, if the participant does not have the required level of competence to follow the course within any reasonable limits.
    2. Admittance to our courses could be denied to those students that repeatedly disrupt classes and/or break house-rules; in such situations there will be no refunding of course fees.
11. Number of participants
    Under certain exceptional circumstances the SVA is authorized to increase the maximum number of participants as mentioned in the brochure with up to 2 at most.
12. Guarantee of success
    The SVA cannot guarantee that students actually reach the aimed-for course- or examlevels. However, all due effort will be made to ensure the quality of the courses.
